Meet the Seattle Southsiders!

These five original characters represent all the curiously wonderful things that make Seattle Southside such a great place to eat, meet, work, and play. Consider them your tiny tour guides, here to show you around the region. Read on to find all their favorite event venues, restaurants, offsite activities, and microadventures - quick, short outings attendees can squeeze in between meetings.

Meet Chomper

Hi there! I'm Chomper, a sixgill shark inspired by the legendary species that swims off the shores of Seattle Southside.

Favorite Microadventures: I love sinking my teeth into all the international dishes you can find in SeaTac's Global Dining District, a stretch of 30+ locally-owned restaurants and markets along International Blvd (right across from SEA Airport).

Favorite Meeting Venues: Radisson Hotel Seattle Airport, Seattle Airport Marriott, and Hampton Inn on 28th are all right in the middle of the Global Dining District. When I'm at one of these hotels, tasty meals like noodle soup, tacos, Indian fusion pizza, and teriyaki burgers are just minutes away.

Meet Herb

Herb here. I'm a prehistoric giant sloth, just like the one that was unearthed during construction of SEA Airport in 1961.

Favorite Microadventures: Slow by nature, I love strolling down the Green River Trail - a nearly 20-mile paved path that winds through Seattle Southside. You'll also see me at the lovely Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden, which is free and open to the public year-round.

Favorite Meeting Venues: You can often find me at SeaTac's Cedarbrook Lodge, which sits on 12 acres of lush wetlands and features a pond and chef's garden. If I'm not there, check the garden patio at Hilton Seattle Airport, or Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle Tacoma International Airport, which is steps from the Green River Trail.

Meet Bubbles

Weeee! I'm Bubbles, a giant Pacific octopus who's all about offsite fun!

Favorite Microadventures: I love taking groups to Foster Golf Links, a forested course where people often spot wildlife like eagles and hawks overhead. Want some indoor adventure? Race go-karts at K1 Speed, or play arcades for hours at Family Fun Center (don't be fooled by the name - it's one of the top picks for corporate groups!)

Favorite Meeting Venues: Comfort Suites Airport Tukwila Seattle is right next door to Family Fun Center, so that one's a no-brainer. I also love DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Seattle Airport and Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Sea-Tac Area, which are both minutes from Westfield Southcenter, a shopping plaza that's home to many attractions.

Meet B-Tea

I'm B. Tea, a bubble tea-loving extraterrestrial inspired by The Maury Island Incident - Seattle Southside's eerie, 1947 encounter with otherwordly visitors.

Favorite Microadventures: I'm always psyched to share two free, self-guided experiences. The UFO Mysteries Trail takes you on a fascinating tour to sites significant to my first visit from outer space, while The Bubble Tea Trail highlights all the places you can sip my favorite drink. Check in to locations to win sweet prizes!

Favorite Event Venues: I'm partial to Four Points by Sheraton Seattle Airport South because it's near the site where I first visited Seattle Southside. However, I also love Skybridge Seattle Airport Hotel (soon to be AC Marriott) and Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Southcenter.

Meet Glider

It's a bird! It's a plane! Nope...it's me, Glider! I'm an aviation-loving harbor seal from Seattle Southside.

Favorite Microadventures: Nothing thrills me like feeling the wind under my flippers when indoor skydiving at iFLY Seattle, or checking out the hundreds of planes and artefacts at The Museum of Flight.

Favorite Event Venues: Hotel Interurban has my heart for being the tallest building in the region, and the fact that it's right next to iFLY. I also get a kick out of seeing SEA Airport from the meeting space on the top floor of DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport. And of course, The Museum of Flight doubles as an awesome event venue, with lots of different meeting spaces.
