The Marine Science and Technology (MaST) Center has 11 aquariums, including two touch tanks. The Center is the marine science laboratory for Highline Community College. It also offers a twice monthly speaker series and "Live Dive" on the second Saturday of each month. The MaST Center is dedicated to expanding knowledge about the Puget Sound and the surrounding environment through teaching, outreach, and research. The 2,500 square-foot facility offers public space, classroom, laboratories, offices, research areas with state-of-the-art equipment and an aquarium. The Aquarium holds over 15 tanks totaling approximately 3,000 gallons of flow-through seawater, and displays over 250 native Puget Sound marine species.
