Stoke Mountain in Tukwila brings the thrill of the mountains indoors. Designed as a premier indoor ski and snowboard center, the facility combines innovative training technology with expert coaching for athletes of all levels. Founded by father-son duo Erik and Nicholas Scott, Stoke Mountain grew from a bold vision: a welcoming community hub where skiers and boarders can train, learn, and have fun in every season.
Need to Know
Multiple Training Experiences: Visitors can choose from several ways to ride, including Ski/Snowboard Lessons, Freestyle Park sessions, and Nordic training. After choosing your experience, book a session. (It's best to book a week before your preferred date, but you can book up to 24 hours in advance, and they strive to accommodate last-minute requests.) Both private and group lessons are available.
Innovative Alpine Training Machines: Stoke Mountain’s indoor slopes use Alpine Machines featuring a soft nylon fiber carpet that moves on a revolving belt, similar to a treadmill. The adjustable slope height and speed allow instructors to tailor sessions to each rider’s ability, creating a safe and effective training environment.
Youth-Friendly Lessons: The minimum age for the ski machines is three years old. Children ages 3–4 can participate in private lessons, while those 5 and older can join group sessions designed to build skills and confidence on the slopes.
A Full Winter Sports Hub: Beyond training, Stoke Mountain features a café, pro shop, and retail store. The Stoke Mountain café keeps the energy high with espresso drinks, boba milk teas, and handcrafted small bites. The Pro Shop offers expert waxing, tuning, repairs, and binding mounts. Meanwhile, the retail shop features a curated selection of skis, snowboards, boots with custom fittings, and quality apparel and accessories.
The Vibe: A Community Built on Stoke
Inside Stoke Mountain, the energy is contagious. Instructors share tips from the sidelines, and the rhythm of skis and boards gliding across the moving slope fills the air. It’s equal parts training ground and mountain hangout.
