Waterland Parade & Block Party

**FREE EVENT** Waterland Festival — Des Moines

Celebrate one of Des Moines’ most cherished summer traditions at the 2026 Waterland Parade. This Seafair-sanctioned parade will feature marching bands, dancers, local businesses, community groups, the Seafair Pirates, and Seafair clowns filling Marine View Drive with hometown pride and family-friendly fun.

  • Parade Launch: 6:00 PM
  • Entrant Check-in: 4:00 PM
  • Location: Marine View Drive, Des Moines, WA
  • Route: Southbound from S 216th St. to S 226th St.

After the parade, keep the celebration going at the Waterland Block Party from S 223rd to S 225th, in front of the Des Moines Theater.

The block party runs until about 10:00 PM and will include:

  • A DJ
  • Beer garden
  • Kids’ activities
  • Special performers
  • Appearances from parade participants
  • Food from Lavish Roots inside the Des Moines Theater.
