It is with a heavy heart that the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival has determined it is in the best interest of public health to cancel the Festival in April 2020 and is imploring all tulip fans to follow the directives of our governor and our president. Stay home, stay healthy, stay alive. There are no public services in Skagit Valley at this time. Not even portable toilets! No restaurants are open and many public buildings are closed.

The Skagit Valley region accounted for 75% of the nation's tulip production before the coronavirus pandemic, bringing in 300,000 visitors and $65 million in revenue.

The two best ways to support Skagit Valley's tulip growers are to order this season's flowers online at tuliptown.com and tulips.com. For $15 TulipTown will send a bouquet of fresh Skagit Valley tulips to first responders. Growers are also formulating plans for how to donate this season's bouquets to hospitals and retirement homes.

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is one of the destination events for the Pacific Northwest, held traditionally each year from April 1-30, Every spring hundreds of thousands of people come to enjoy the celebration of spring as millions of tulips burst into bloom. As with all things governed by Mother Nature, the tulips bloom according to their own schedule sometime during the festival. The tulips allow us to share our corner of the world and help us to showcase Skagit Valley agriculture.
