You can't get more scenic than the Des Moines Waterfront Farmers Market. Picture a festive local market set against the backdrop of Puget Sound, a marina, and a well-maintained park. You'll find everything from fresh flowers and herbs to handmade soaps and jewelry. There's also plenty of delicious prepared food to enjoy while you're there.

The market has live music and special events on select dates, so check the organization's website for updates.

When: The opening date for 2025 is Saturday, June 7. It will run every Saturday through September, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The SeaTac Farmer's Market is an annual tradition that brings together a vibrant, diverse lineup of vendors. This market specifically prioritizes BIPOC [Black, Indigenous, People of Color] farmers, chefs, and artisans who reflect and honor the region's cultural diversity. You'll find unique food and goods representing a wide array of cultures and farmers market staples like fresh produce and flowers. Another thing that makes this market unique is that it does not charge vendors or take a cut of their sales, so when you buy something, you know that 100% of the revenue is going to the people who grew or made it.

When: June 4 - October 29, 2025, on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Tukwila Farmers Market

The Tukwila Farmers Market, hosted on select Sundays throughout the summer, is a dynamic, family-friendly event series featuring far more than fresh produce. In addition to vendors selling organic fruits and vegetables, flowers, and artisinal goods, you'll find prepared food from booths and food trucks, live music performances, cooking demos, and art and sports activities for kids. If you have little ones in tow, there's also a playground and spray park to hip up nearby.

When: July 20, August 3, 17, 31, and September 7, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tukwila Village Farmers Market

The Tukwila Village Farmers Market features fresh produce grown by local immigrant communities. The farm vendors specialize in unique cultural produce you might not find in traditional grocery stores, so it's a great place to explore new ingredients and cuisines. Produced by Global to Local’s Food Innovation Network and IRC’s New Roots program, the market features farm and food vendors alongside artisans and services. Taste hand-churned ice cream from Diane's Dreamy Delights, fill up on Congolese dishes from Taste of Congo, and explore other vendors.

Expanding Food Access

The Heart Bucks Program allows anyone (yes, anyone!) to sign up for free food vouchers to spend at the market. (Note that you can only receive them once for the season, while funds last). Whether you're looking to stock up on groceries for the week or just enjoy a sunny day out with family and friends, the Burien Farmers Market is a must-visit.

When: Thursdays, May to October (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and November to April (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
