Haunted Skies: Snakes on a Plane
Buckle up for a Halloween party inspired by “Snakes on a Plane”! This after-hours event for ages 21 and older brings 2000s nostalgia to the Museum of Flight, with a screening celebrating the film’s 20th anniversary and a DJ spinning throwback hits. Explore the museum after dark, try a flight simulator and show off your costume for a chance to win prizes. Food trucks and alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Do the Time Warp at the Des Moines Theater’s first presentation of The Rocky Horror Picture Show! Each evening pairs the cult-classic film with live variety acts and plenty of audience participation, plus vendors, food and cocktails. Come in costume and join the call-backs and confetti-filled fun. Prop bags will be available at the door, with proceeds benefiting Waterland Pride. Ages 21 and older.

Halloween Party at The Des Moines Theater
Put on your best costume and dance the night away at the Des Moines Theater! This Halloween celebration for ages 21 and older features live music by A Flock of 80s, plus costume contests and a “Thriller” dance to get you in the spooky spirit.

Spooky Tours and Exhibits
When you stay in Seattle Southside, you can easily drive or take light rail into Seattle for one of several spooky tours. Take the famous Underground Tour to explore the subterranean storefronts and sidewalks that were abandoned when the city rebuilt itself after the Great Fire of 1889. Or, join the Seattle Terrors Ghost Tour and learn about haunted sites like the Northwest’s first elevator for corpses. Famous Cemeteries
You can't get more haunted than a graveyard, and there are plenty to see in and near Seattle Southside.
Just north of Volunteer Park in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood is one of the city’s oldest cemeteries – Lakeview Cemetery. Martial Arts legend Bruce Lee and his son, actor, Brandon Lee are buried there, along with some recognizable names – John Nordstrom, Arthur Denny and Princess Angeline, the daughter of Chief Seattle.
Jimi Hendrix fans can see the memorial gravesite of the legendary musician at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton. (If you're wondering where you can pay respects to Kurt Cobain, he was not buried in a gravesite but you can visit Viretta Park in Seattle, which is located near his former home and has become a de facto memorial site).
