Seattle Southside Two Day Itinerary for Families
Saturday in Seattle Southside
9:30 AM: Leave your Seattle Southside hotel and drive to the Museum of Flight.

10:00 AM: Start early at the Museum of Flight exploring the history of aviation at the largest aviation museum on the west coast. (Estimated cost for family of four: $56)
12:00 PM: For lunch, head over to the Westfield Southcenter Mall, outside of the Nordstrom department store, to Bahama Breeze for some lunch. Enjoy indoor, or outdoor seating at this tropical getaway with island inspired dishes. For a treat, try one of the specialty frozen drinks. (Estimated cost for family of four: $60)

1:30 PM: After filling up on Caribbean cuisine, enjoy the largest shopping mall in the Pacific Northwest, Westfield Southcenter Mall, with more than 240 shops, many restaurant options, and an all new AMC Movie Theatre with IMAX. Check out the latest flick or stroll around in search of that perfect item. Stay energized with a snack from one of the many eateries like Mrs Fields, Auntie Ann's Pretzels or Jamaba Juice.

3:30 PM: After your lunch and shopping trip, hop back in the car and take a quick trip over to iFLY Seattle Indoor Skydiving*. Experience the thrill of skydiving in this indoor facility without ever having to jump out of an airplane. (Estimated cost for family of four: $250)

*Be sure to call iFLY in advance and reserve a flight time as the attraction is quite popular.
5:00 PM: After your adventure at iFLY, head back over to Westfield Southcenter Mall for dinner. Enjoy hot steaming dumplings at Din Tai Fung, inside the mall. (Estimated cost for family of four: $70)

6:30 PM: After dinner take a stroll along the Green-Duwamish River Trail, a paved trail meandering along the river banks through Tukwila, or engage in some childish fun at the Family Fun Center (open until at least 10 pm) in Tukwila. With bumper boats, mini golf, gokarts, arcades, laser tag and more you'll have a blast before having to return to your hotel for some rest. Sunday in Seattle Southside
After your adventurous Saturday, enjoy a relaxing day touring the beautiful beach front parks of Seattle Southside.
10:00 AM: Leave your Seattle Southside hotel and drive south to your first destination, Redondo Beach, Pier and Boardwalk.

10:20 AM: Stroll along the boardwalk and take in the views of the Puget Sound. Walk down to the end of the pier and you can almost always catch someone fishing or crabbing.

12:00 PM: Before heading to your next destination, stop by Salty’s Waterfront Seafood Grill for a fresh, seafood lunch. (Estimated cost for family of four: $80)

1:00 PM: Next, drive up (it’s about a three mile trip) north to Saltwater State Park and be treated to about 1,500 feet of beachfront, including a swimming beach. Known for its scuba diving too, visitors may even get a view of sea life and wildlife, so bring the camera!

2:00 PM: Ending the beach tour, drive to the Des Moines Marina and Beach Park and check out all of the cool boats. With awe-inspiring views of the Olympic Mountains across the sound, land lovers will enjoy the Beach Park and Covenant Beach Historic District within the park. Also, enjoy the play areas, trails, or just walk down the pier and watch the boats come in.

3:30 PM: Exploring the beautiful outdoors of Seattle Southside would not be complete without a visit to the Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden. Hop back in the car and drive up to 24th Ave S in SeaTac, about 15 minutes north of the Des Moines Marina. The garden covers about 10.5 acres and includes the Seike Japanese Garden, Elda Behm's Paradise Garden and display gardens. Admission is free until dusk.

5:30 PM: To end the day with a delectable dinner, head to the 13 Coins located about .3 miles from the SeaTac airport. With over 130 menu items and entertaining line chefs, dinner at the 13 coins is the perfect way to end your unforgettable weekend. (Estimated cost for family of four: $72)
