From scoring the right gear to enjoying the best local food and drink, here’s everything you need to know for an unforgettable game day.
Game Day Prep
Flying in for a Seahawks Game? Stay in Seattle Southside
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is just a 20-30 minute drive from Lumen Field (or a leisurely ride on public transit), and staying at a Seattle Southside hotel makes your trip even easier. Not only are you close to the airport, but you’ll also enjoy more affordable hotel rates, free parking, and quick access to the Link Light Rail, which takes you straight to the stadium. It’s the perfect way to maximize convenience (and your budget) while still being part of the Seahawks game day excitement. Browse our directory of hotels to start planning your trip.
Where to Buy Seahawks Game Day Gear
Show your team pride with the latest jerseys, hats, hoodies, and gear before you even arrive at Lumen Field. The Seattle Team Shop in Tukwila's Westfield Southcenter Mall is your go-to spot for officially licensed Seahawks apparel. Stock up on hats to rep the 12s, jerseys for your favorite players, hoodies to stay warm on chilly nights, accessories, and game-day must-haves. While in the mall, you can also check out LIDS, a hat shop that carries licensed hats for major pro leagues, including the NFL.
What to Wear to the Game
Seattle weather is unpredictable—so layer up. A base layer, hoodie, and a waterproof jacket will keep you comfortable. Remember: only clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags (12" x 6" x 12") or small clutches (no larger than 4.5" x 6.5") are allowed through security. The stadium is also cashless, so bring a card or use mobile pay.
Tickets & Seating
Download the Seahawks Mobile App
Don’t wait in line! The Seahawks Mobile App is your ticket hub for mobile entry. You can also use it to order food, check stadium maps, and stay updated on team news.
Buying Seahawks Tickets in Advance
Purchase your tickets early through the Seahawks website or trusted resellers to avoid game-day stress.
Best Seats at Lumen Field
When it comes to “the best seats” for a Seattle Seahawks game, much of it comes down to what kind of game day experience you’re looking for. Different areas of Lumen Field each have their own unique advantages:
The Hawk Nest (Sections 146–150): This iconic bleacher-style section behind the north end zone is known for its energy and volume. If you want to feel the power of the “12s” and be in the heart of the action, this is where diehard fans flock. It’s not the most comfortable seating, but it’s one of the loudest and most spirited areas.
East Side Seating: Some fans prefer the east side (behind the Seahawks bench) for slightly better protection from wind and weather. Others point out that this side tends to get more sun during daytime games, which can be an advantage (or disadvantage!) depending on the season.
Upper Deck (300 Level, Rows A, E, or F): Believe it or not, some fans swear these are the “sweet spot” seats. They offer a wide, panoramic view of the field and are elevated just enough to take in all the action without feeling too far away.
Club & Covered Seats: If staying dry and comfortable is a priority, Club Level seats and certain sideline sections offer partial cover and premium amenities.

Skip traffic by taking the Link Light Rail. Stadium Station and the International District/Chinatown Station are both a short walk to the stadium.
If you're driving in from anywhere south of the airport, you can also park for free at the Angle Lake Lightrail Station in SeaTac and ride to Lumen Field. (Pro tip: stop for a bite first at one of the many great restaurants nearby, like Sharps RoastHouse or 13 Coins).
Parking Near the Stadium
If you’re driving, use apps like SpotHero or ParkWhiz to reserve a spot in advance. Lots and garages along 1st Avenue are the most convenient.
Arrive Early
Pregame activities are part of the fun! Get there at least an hour before kickoff to soak up the atmosphere.

Pregame Traditions
On game days, the area outside the stadium, around Occidental Ave S, is filled with vendors, music, and fans. You'll feel the energy before even stepping inside.
Around three hours before kickoff, you can head inside the Lumen Field Event Center for Ticketmaster Tailgate. At this smorgasbord of food and entertainment, you'll find everything from a 21+ sports bar to a kid-friendly area with face painting and activities to a museum of memorabilia. Listen to live music, enjoy tasty concessions, shop for gear and souvenirs, and look for photo and autograph opps with former players.
Want to make it a super special occasion?
