Although we wish the Seahawks had made it this far, alas, it was not meant to be. However, the big game is always fun to watch (not to mention the commercials and halftime show). Here are five of our favorite bars/restaurants for your viewing party.
The name says it all as Des Moines’ signature sports bar is perfect for fans to watch the game. They always have a lively crowd, great food, and a full bar. And if you like to play games while you watch the game, they’ve got ping pong, pool, darts, and more to keep you occupied. The bar stays open until 2:00am even on Sundays for those party animals looking to extend their big game festivities.
BWW is a great place to be on gameday! Red-hot wings, about 1000 TVs, ice cold beer, and plenty of football fans to boo and cheer with. Seriously, this place is going to be packed on Sunday. It’ll almost feel like you’re at the game…
This place is great for a more relaxing party. The contemporary design, combined with the warm and friendly atmosphere is great for those looking to avoid some of the more raucous gameday parties. They’ve got great food and rotating taps with some unique beer options like a peanut-butter cup porter or a big juicy IPA. Also, if you’re looking to bring Fido to gameday, the patio is dog-friendly!
Wake up early for 18 holes at Foster Golf Links, then head to the onsite restaurant, Billy Baroo’s, for the game! Billy Baroo’s offers a delicious BBQ buffet, 20 beers on tap, and plenty of TVs for your viewing pleasure. Plus, you’ll get a great view of the green while you’re chowing down on ribs and brisket.
1. ACME Bowl
Bowl for the bowl at ACME Bowl! Get a couple games of bowling in before and after the game at ACME. When it’s game time, head to the bar or break room to catch all the action. Those in the know will tell you that ACME has plenty of great cocktails like the lagoon fishbowl, and a good selection of beers on top. The lunch/dinner menu is huge, so take your pick from wings, to sliders, to pizza, and everything in between.
