Don't worry - many outdoor spaces either offer shelter from the elements or a nearby indoor space that can take over should the weather choose to be uncooperative. Plus, the views of the sunset from this park are absolutely stunning and make for incredible pictures.

Museum of Flight’s Aviation Pavilion

Set up for a cocktail reception surrounded by historical aircraft that are sure to get your guests talking! Not only will you have these amazing surroundings, you can also get some fresh air, without worrying about the potential for rain. That's because the Aviation Pavilion has a full roof, though the sides are open-air. This way, you get the best of both worlds! Additional meeting spaces inside the museum can help support your event as well.

Highline SeaTac Botanical Gardens

The Highline SeaTac Botanical Gardens are a perfect spot to meet outside. Bring Zen to your group in the Seike Japanese Garden, an air of refinement in the Rose Celebration Garden, or unwind in Elda Behm's Paradise Garden. With multiple gardens each with their own unique ambiance, there are lots of options available, from a refined reception to casual canapes to fun teambuilding at this hidden gem located just minutes from the airport. But don't let its convenient location fool you - it's so beautiful and tranquil here that you'll forget just how close to the airport you are!

Get to the greens and still be productive! Enjoy a beautiful view of the rolling greens and do some fun people watching while you sample the delicious food from Billy Baroo's. With their covered patio space, you can get shelter from anything the Pacific Northwest might want to throw your way while still enjoying the fresh air and green spaces surrounding you.

We wanted to save the hotel spaces for last, since these tend to be the first places people think of when they think of outdoor meeting venues, but we wanted to highlight just some of the beautiful places to hold a meeting or a reception at local hotels. Pictured here is the patio at Cedarbrook Lodge, a beautiful outdoor space with a pond and a large, grassy meadow. With food and beverage service from Copperleaf Restaurant, your guests are sure to be wowed.

The outdoor courtyard at DoubleTree Suites Seattle Airport-Southcenter is an urban oasis with garden décor. By day, this space has the luxury of shaded trees and sunny spots to host a break, lunch or wedding ceremony. By night, the café lights and built-in music speakers lend themselves to a festive outdoor reception or dinner. Invite up to 50 people in round tables with full catering services available, or schedule a private yoga class, the sky is the limit! This 1,066 sq.ft. space can also combine with a private 1,847 sq.ft indoor meeting space for added flexibility. Check it out in the virtual tour below.

The Hilton Seattle Airport and Conference Center has a central garden that can be used for receptions, convenient to the meeting space inside. It's a great outdoor break for a change of pace from their lovely indoor spaces (of which there are many!). The Courtyard SeaTac has a back patio that they will rent out for events as well, plus indoor spaces for meetings from 10 to 70 people.
