Taste the World...Steps From Your Hotel
Discover the World Table District: A Multicultural Dining Experience in SeaTac
Seattle Southside is well-known as a global hub for events and business travel, but among the many hotels and venues, a vibrant, multicultural dining scene hides in plain sight.
The World Table District, located along a 4-mile stretch across from SEA Airport, features 30 restaurants, cafes, and markets specializing in cuisines from around the globe. Travelers, including business travelers, increasingly seek out experiences that feel personal, local, and meaningful. That might mean popping into a small, family-owned restaurant, trying a new international dish, or exploring something off the beaten path. That’s exactly what the World Table District delivers. SeaTac is already a major gateway for visitors flying into the Pacific Northwest, and now planners have an easy way to turn an arrival day or free evening into something special.
What Is the World Table District?
The World Table District features a wide variety of locally owned eateries along International Boulevard in the City of SeaTac. Within a short drive (or even a short walk from their hotel), attendees can explore an incredible range of global cuisines, flavors, and cultures, including Peruvian, Somali, Thai, Mexican, Ethiopian, El Salvadoran, Japanese, and classic Americana.
Conference attendees and business travelers can grab coffee made with single-origin Ethiopian espresso before a meeting, have Indian street food or a traditional Somali dish for lunch, pick up a box of Mexican pastries for their team, and share heaping plates of Thai food at a festive group dinner with colleagues. They can even browse an international market for unique, imported snacks to take home as souvenirs.

Food Is the Ultimate Connector
Gathering for a shared meal brings people together in a way that few other things can. As Mehdi Jamale, one of the owners of Zain Restaurant & Bakery Café, told us, he and his siblings modeled the restaurant after the big family meals they shared at home growing up. Eating was always a communal event, and they want to bring that ethos to their business, welcoming visitors like family. Coworkers can bond over shared plates and novel flavors, turning networking into authentic conversations and gatherings into genuinely fun occasions.
Share the World Table District with Event Attendees
Here are a few creative ways to help attendees experience the fun of World Table District:
1. Attendee Dining Guides
Include WorldTableDistrict.com as a recommended resource in your welcome materials. Encourage attendees who are arriving early or staying late to “taste the world” right near their hotel.
2. Hosted Restaurant Nights
Partner with participating restaurants for group dinners or casual networking meals. Several restaurants, including 13 Coins Restaurant and Sharps RoastHouse, offer private event spaces.
3. Cultural Food Tours
For smaller groups, create a progressive dine-around experience featuring multiple stops along International Boulevard. For example, they could have cocktails and apps at Mango Thai, followed by Ethiopian entrees at Star Coffee Restaurant, and dessert at 13 Coins.
4. Pick Up Treats or Meals To-Go
Many eateries in the World Table District offer delivery, making them great choices for a breakfast or lunch meeting. You could order pizza (including Indian-inspired toppings!), pick up snacks from one of the markets, or order a full takeout lunch from most restaurants in the directory.
