Nick Tolley of Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority


Seattle, Wash. (June 16 2016) – Nick Tolley of Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority (RTA) has been selected by Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) for the prestigious 30 Under 30 Award, which honors excellence among young professionals in destination marketing organizations. Tolley currently serves as social media and content manager.

The 2016 honorees originate from a variety of destinations and backgrounds, from National Tourism Bureaus such as Brand USA and the Bermuda Tourism Authority to local Convention and Visitors Bureaus in Victoria, Texas and Macon, Georgia. Tolley is only one of two nominees from Washington state.

“I’m incredibly honored to be recognized by a respected organization like DMAI,” said Tolley, “Being a Washington native, I’m proud to represent and promote the destination of Seattle Southside – right in my own backyard.”

Tolley grew up in Ravensdale before graduating from Central Washington University with a Bachelors in Communication Studies in 2013. He started his career with Seattle Southside in 2013, as marketing and tourism assistant. In his current role as social media and content manager, Tolley builds awareness of SeaTac, Tukwila and Des Moines amongst tourists through social media marketing, public relations efforts and building comprehensive experiences for visiting journalists.

Tolley and his peers will travel to Minneapolis, Minn. to join the other nominees and be recognized by DMAI, along with the Founding Program Partner, SearchWide, and supporting sponsors IMEX and USAE and professionals within the industry at the Annual Convention August 1-3.
