When the weather drops, it's time to explore indoor fun.

We teamed up with the Seattle Seawolves, the region’s pro rugby team, to share some of our favorite seasonal activities in Seattle Southside. Take in the brilliant autumn colors at local beach parks, warm up with cozy bites and seasonal sips, and explore unique attractions that make the season shine. However you like to enjoy fall, there’s no shortage of ways to make it memorable.

Embrace Indoor Fun

As the crisp fall air rolls in, it’s the perfect season to enjoy some indoor thrills—and the Family Fun Center is a top spot for all ages. While it’s a hit with families and kids, the fun doesn’t stop there. From racing go-karts and racking up points in the arcade to battling it out in laser tag or teeing off with indoor mini golf, there’s plenty to keep the good times going, whether you're with teammates, coworkers, a group of friends, or your family. It’s a great, streamlined way to add a little excitement to your fall adventures in Seattle Southside.

Continue the indoor adventures with a trip to iFLY Indoor Skydiving, where a state-of-the-art wind tunnel lets you experience the sensation of freefall in a safe, controlled environment. If you've ever fantasized about skydiving but wouldn't want to jump out of a plane, this is a must-try experience. The expert instructors are all pros, so they'll teach you everything you need to know and guide you every step of the way.

Bonus: This attraction is all ages, "from 3–103!" So you can bring a little kid, a parent or grandparent, or a whole crew.

Fill Up on Comfort Food

iFLY is located right by Westfield Southcenter, a huge shopping center where you can choose from dozens of restaurants to refuel after your heart-pounding experience. Fill up with a steaming hot bowl of noodles at Marugame Udon, an authentic Japanese spot serving rich, savory soup. Or, share small plates of delectable dumplings at Mr. Dim Sum, a locally owned spot that's just casual enough for families but nice enough to feel like you're being treated.

Admire Natural Beauty and Marine Life

Just because it's cool out doesn't mean you can't still enjoy the natural beauty of Seattle Southside's shoreline, home to a world of marine life, including seals, migrating birds, salmon, and whales. Take a moment to walk along Redondo Beach, Des Moines Beach Park, or Saltwater State Park and allow the sounds and sights to wash over you. Then, consider giving back to a meaningful cause like SR3 Sealife Response, Rehabilitation, and Research, a vital organization dedicated to protecting and caring for local marine life such as whales and seals. Without the hard work of SR3, the animals that call our waters home would lose a key advocate fighting for their health and survival.
