It is called Pancake Chef, and it's a Northwest gem. A classic.
Walking in is like going back in time. There's a table or two that date back to the day it opened, in 1959. Some of the original lights hang near the cash register.
There have been some minor adjustments along the way, of course, but Pancake Chef is largely a time capsule in the best possible way.
It is a family restaurant that long ago became a restaurant family.
Jay Miller sat down for breakfast. He just landed at Sea-Tac airport from Minneapolis.
He says, "I asked the guy coming out the door if the food was any good, and he said, 'We're here every Monday.'"
