Introducing New Senior Content Writer - Annie Atherton
Explore Seattle Southside is pleased to announce the expansion of its Marketing and Communications Team with the appointment of Annie Atherton to a newly created Senior Content Writer position.
Atherton brings more than a decade of experience in media and communications to her role at Explore Seattle Southside. As a freelance journalist, her work has appeared in national and local publications such as The Seattle Times, Seattle Magazine, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Travel+Leisure, and many others. Previously, she co-managed The Financial Diet, a New York City-based digital media platform dedicated to personal finance education. In this role, she directed branded content partnerships with companies such as Fidelity, Squarespace, and Intuit, which integrated blog posts, social content, events, and video.
Born and raised in Seattle, where she currently lives, Atherton holds a degree in English and International Studies from the University of Washington. She has fond memories of exploring Seattle Southside throughout her childhood and is passionate about celebrating the region's cultural diversity. Outside of work, she enjoys discovering local cafes, restaurants, museums, and parks.
