Explore Seattle Southside Celebrates Hospitality Heroes

Explore Seattle Southside highlights how hard-working everyday people make a huge difference in our community. We believe that we have incredible people who make a difference every day in our industry and that they should be recognized as Hospitality Heroes. Heroes from the past several years came from our Southside region’s hotels, The Museum of Flight, Sound Transit, and our local restaurants. One hero has been a powerhouse in the kitchen for over 32 years, and another helped hundreds of visitors navigate the confusing light rail system each day. Many of our heroes work behind the spotlight, and while they may not be visible, their impact is essential.

Heroes across various roles in the hospitality industry are celebrated for their hard work, selflessness, and contributions to their teams at an award ceremony on February 24, 2026. Award recipients receive a complimentary invitation to the event for themselves and one guest (+1), where they are publicly recognized.

Nominations must be received by December 15, 2025.

Does the nominee participate in community service, volunteerism, or other activities outside of their job that contribute to the community or industry? How does the nominee support their colleagues or contribute to a positive workplace culture? Has the nominee demonstrated leadership, mentorship, or the ability to inspire others?
How does this person go above and beyond in their role? How has the nominee positively impacted guests, visitors, or the community? What makes this person stand out among their peers? Can you share a specific example? Or ask peers to share.
