Explore the three types of Japanese gardens: dry landscaped, courtyard and stroll gardens. Learn the histories and stories behind each of these unique styles. Beautiful photos taken in Japan may inspire you to recreate elements of these peaceful gardens here in the Pacific Northwest. SCBG has some elements of Japanese gardens: a pond, a flowing stream, graceful bridges, stones and green plants surrounding the pond. Stay for a stroll after the presentation to see the examples up close.
