Join us at the ROADHOUSE and Show Brazil Productions on October 19th for the Kwetu Band, revolutionizing African music with its unique Afro-fusion style. By blending traditional African sounds with global genres like jazz, funk, reggae, and soul, it creates a captivating musical experience. Renowned for its dynamic performances and musical storytelling, it is at the forefront of modern African music innovation.
The Roadhouse is a community-focused performance space located in SeaTac at the Angle Lake Link Light Rail Station. Featuring free, all-ages events that celebrate the musical culture of South King County, The Roadhouse is an initiative of the Sound Transit Art Program (STart).
Since opening, the ROADHOUSE has presented over 25 events, 11 of which were 3rd party organizations that chose to have their events at the venue. There have been over 1,200 attendees at these events. The venue has also been rented by the organization as a rehearsal space which 194 performers have attended.
The ROADHOUSE partners with 4Culture, Arts Impact, Northwest Symphony, Amazon, the Somali Cultural Center, and Mercy Housing to feature cultural events year-round. In its first year, the ROADHOUSE has featured dance, poetry, and visual art as well as an incredible variety of music styles including Mariachi, steel pan, rap, hip hop, soul, symphonic, and classical.
