The Normandy Park Community Club (aka The Cove) is inviting families and friends to its third annual Polar Bear Plunge on Thursday, January 1, 2026. This spirited New Year’s Day tradition starts at 11:00 a.m. and is open to all ages — whether you want to wade in up to your shoulders, take the full plunge, dip your toes, or simply cheer from the shore.
The event goes on rain, snow, or wind, so bundle up and make a bold start to the year! Tips from organizers include wearing water shoes and bringing a towel, bathrobe, or blanket to warm up afterward. Parking is available at The Cove Building lot, with overflow at the Normandy Park Swim Club.
