The Northwest Wine Academy is Western Washington’s only working and teaching winery.

It serves as both a hands-on learning space for students in the Wine Studies program at SSC and a public tasting room, open Thursday through Saturday from 1–6 PM.

Every six months, the Northwest Wine Academy at South Seattle College (SSC) unveils a new collection of student-crafted wines. The Spring 2025 Release will debut on Saturday, June 7, and includes a 2019 Chardonnay, 2020 Chardonnay, 2021 Rosé, and a standout 2022 Malbec, which recently earned a gold medal from the Seattle Wine Awards.
Join the Northwest Wine Academy on Saturday, June 7 in its tasting room anytime from 1–6 PM for a festive release event featuring tastings of the new wines and delicious spring-inspired fare from a food truck hosted by South Seattle College’s Culinary & Pastry Arts program.
