Husky Football Game

Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium is nestled high above Union Bay on Lake Washington and is known as the "Greatest Setting in College Football." Its trademark cantilever metal roof structure traps in sound, making the venue known for being one of the loudest stadiums in the nation with crowd noise routinely reaching over 100 decibels.

Husky Stadium's seating capacity of 70,138 makes it the largest stadium, college or professional, in the Pacific Northwest and ranks it among the nation‘s top 15 largest on-campus facilities.

The view from Husky Stadium is unmatched - it overlooks Lake Washington and offers sweeping skylines of Downtown Seattle, Mt. Rainier and the Cascade Mountains to the east and the Olympic Mountain Range to the west.

Gameday transportation takes on a whole new meaning at the University of Washington - fans headed to Husky Stadium can walk, bike, drive, boat, and also ride Seattle's light rail to the game.

Husky Stadium has been recognized as a model of success in facility renovation. Throughout the design and renovation process in 2012, steps were taken to create an environmentally friendly building while using a sustainable construction plan. During construction, over 95% of construction waste was reused or recycled. Concrete removed from the lower bowl was crushed on site and reused for fill under the current structure. The stadium was renovated using Salmon Safe practices, using two large retention ponds to filter all waste water before entering Lake Washington. Additionally, existing trees and shrubs were saved and replanted on site after construction.
