The 1960s was a time of profound change at Boeing as the military backlog shriveled while orders for airliners swelled. New models like the 737 and 747 were rushed into development by William M. Allen. To sate the worldwide demand, new high-bay final assembly space was urgently needed at Renton, Everett and elsewhere. As coauthors of Boeing Metamorphosis, historian John Fredrickson will team with the factory architect John Andrew, to recount this riveting story.
Book signing at 3:00 PM.
