Are you a wine lover? If so, you should try a winery and waterfall tour by Customized Tours! Washington is now the second largest wine producer in America behind California, and the Pacific Northwest is known for its natural beauty. In this tour, you will experience both!
I joined the tour, which included twenty-two tourists, plus a guide. First, we went to two wineries in the morning. One is a small winery (sorry, I forgot the shop’s name…) and the other is the Chateau Ste Michelle that has produced many award-winning wines. You might pay some extra money to taste wine not included in the tour price, but it is worth spending! Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my ID…
This is the tasting place where many visitors really enjoyed wine…except me. However, I did enjoy the winery as well, though I couldn’t try the actual wine, I got grape juice! There is also a gift shop, a factory tour, and much more! What I’m trying to say is, your children would probably enjoy the tour too.
After tasting, we had lunch in the beautiful garden at the Chateau. I got a fresh salad box with bread.
Then, Snoqualmie Falls! Snoqualmie Falls is one of Washington state’s most popular scenic attractions. It’s famous for the gigantic 270-foot waterfall, which attracts more than 1.5 million visitors every year. This was my first time to see a waterfall here in Washington (actually, I’m from Japan), so I was really excited. The fall was dynamic and I felt the fresh air. It was refreshing!
Lastly, we stopped at Boehm’s Chocolates in Issaquah for some chocolate sampling. I ended up buying a few chocolates and tried one of them outside the shop…It was really yummy! I tried the others at home…again, it was super yummy! I regretted not buying more chocolates. If you go, make sure to get enough chocolates to satisfy your cravings for a few days at least.
Boehm’s Chocolates was the last stop of the tour. Time flies when you’re having fun! When we came back to downtown Seattle, the pink elephant was welcoming us. Cute!
Throughout this tour, I got to know much more about Washington. Tours always take me to new places I have not known. That’s why I like traveling with a tour. The more I get to know Washington, the more I like the city! And, I wanted to say “thank you” to our guide, Cory, for giving us a lot of fun! The tour and tour guide made for an unforgettable day. I highly recommend this tour to you, so why don’t you try it?!
