Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority will host the 2nd Annual Spotlight on the Northwest tourism conference September 8-10, 2017. Spotlight on the Northwest combines educational seminars, networking functions, and a trade show, to highlight what the Pacific Northwest has to offer to tour groups both domestic and international. Attendees include tour operators primarily from the U.S. and Canada, and range from small operations to large receptive companies (and everything in between), as well as representatives from area attractions, hotels, and other suppliers. New tour itineraries to off-the-beaten-path destinations are highlighted, using the closest gateway cities as arrival and departure points. Operators will participate in a bus tour prior to arriving in Seattle Southside which will take them from Portland up the Washington coast, with a stop in Tacoma.

Meagan McGuire, VP of Sales and Services at Seattle Southside RTA, is excited to showcase the Seattle Southside area to these operators. “Spotlight on the Northwest is about building relationships between suppliers and operators for future collaboration; and with Seattle Southside’s advantageous location near the airport and proximity to downtown Seattle, operators will find the region a great “home base” option for their tour groups.”

Registration is still open for operators and area suppliers to participate in the event, held at the Crowne Plaza Seattle Airport in SeaTac.
