From city icons to natural wonders, the Pacific Northwest has an abundance of sights to see and things to do. Here are a couple of options for making the most out of your trip. 


 

VOLCANO TOUR:

Arrival: Arrive via Sea-Tac International Airport and take the complimentary shuttle to your Seattle Southside hotel. Relax. After a good night’s sleep, enjoy a complimentary breakfast and then head out for an exciting Northwest adventure.

Day 1: Fresh from your night’s rest, depart Seattle Southside for Mt. Rainier, standing majestically at 14,410 feet tall. Visit beautiful Narada Falls on the way to the Visitor Center for a picnic lunch. Spend the day exploring the park through guided ranger programs and walking trails. 

Day 2: Take the very scenic drive to Mt. St. Helens, which famously blew her top in 1980. The devastation is awe-inspiring and is still evident along the drive up to the peak. View the crater at the top and the moonscape that remains.

CITY LIFE:

Arrival: Arrive via Sea-Tac International Airport and take the complimentary shuttle to your Seattle Southside hotel. Relax. After a good night’s sleep, enjoy a complimentary breakfast and then head out for an exciting Northwest adventure.

Day 1: Downtown Seattle is only a 30-minute Link light rail ride away. No need to worry about parking, traffic or getting lost. It’s easy and convenient to stay in Seattle Southside and explore downtown attractions like the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, Pike Place Market and the waterfront.

Day 2: In Seattle Southside, there are many activities to entertain you, including the Museum of Flight (the largest air and space museum in the country) and iFLY indoor skydiving. A complimentary shuttle can take you to the largest shopping mall in the Pacific Northwest, Westfield Southcenter, where you can enjoy over 100 restaurants, an IMAX theater, cosmic bowling and world-class shopping.

OLYMPIC PENINSULA:

Arrival: Arrive via Sea-Tac International Airport and take the complimentary shuttle to your Seattle Southside hotel. Relax. After a good night’s sleep, enjoy a complimentary breakfast and then head out for an exciting Northwest adventure.

Day 1: Depart Seattle Southside for the Olympic National Park. Drive to the Hoh Rain Forest, the most carefully preserved rain forest in the Northern Hemisphere. Explore walking trails at Lake Quinault or rocky beaches along the Pacific Ocean. Roast marshmallows on the beach and overnight at a rustic lodge overlooking crashing waves.

Day 2: Drive to the Makah Indian Reservation and stop at the cultural center on your way to Cape Flattery, the northwestern tip of the contiguous United States. Venture along the trail through the forest to the overlook with views of the cliffs and ocean. Overnight in Forks, making sure to see the sites where Twilight was filmed.

Day 3: Drive to Hurricane Ridge, the heart of the Olympic National Park, to view the forests and wildlife. Travel to Port Townsend, a historic Victorian seaport with many artistic boutiques. Tour Fort Warden, a US Army base active from 1902 to 1953. Return to Seattle Southside via the Bainbridge Island ferry and enjoy the scenic view of the islands.

TAKE A CRUISE:

Prior to your Departure: Arrive via Sea-Tac International Airport and take the complimentary shuttle to your Seattle Southside hotel. Relax. After a good night’s sleep, enjoy a complimentary breakfast and then head to the Piers to depart on your once-in-a-lifetime cruise. With seven different cruise lines operating from two major terminals, Seattle has become quite the port for cruisers. Many hotels in Seattle Southside offer packages that include a Pier transfer or parking during your cruise. Both cruise terminals are located on Seattle’s waterfront, about 20–25 minutes north of Seattle Southside.

Smith Cove Cruise Terminal/Pier 91: 2201 W. Garfield St.: Located on the north end of Seattle’s waterfront, Smith Cove is home to Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean International.

Bell Street Pier/Pier 66: 9 Wall St.: Located on the south end of downtown Seattle’s waterfront, this 11-acre complex is home to the Norwegian and Oceania cruise lines.

Return: If your cruise is returning the morning of your flight, you can participate in the Cruise Luggage Valet Program, in which you are able to get your airline boarding pass and check your bags for your flight home while still on board the ship. This new program is a complimentary service of the Port of Seattle that will allow passengers time to see the sights and visit great restaurants and attractions before going to Sea-Tac Airport. If you need a relaxing place to rest prior to your flight home, Seattle Southside offers over 50 hotels, hundreds of places to dine and countless activities (including lots of shopping). Plus, with the airport so close, travel time and transportation to the airport from your hotel will be a breeze!
