Event Info

You know Redondo Beach as a hidden gem on Puget Sound with Salty's Seafood Grill, a public fishing pier, beachfront and waterfront views of the Olympic Mts. But it's also home to the amazing and extraordinary MaST (the Marine Science and Technology Center for Highline Community College). The buildings housing the MaST are right next door to Salty's and, although they may be a school during the day, they also double as a "Pop-Up Event Space" that is really just too cool for school. Salty's Chef Josh Green invites you to an unforgettable evening on Friday, March 4, to enjoy everything wonderful the MaST has to offer along with a five-course dinner showcasing the best of the catch that Salty's offers with the perfect wine and music by Carl Tosten, an acoustic finger-style guitarist. Come experience the MaST at Salty's "Belly of the Whale" Dinner. You'll enjoy a feast in what we fondly refer to as the Belly of the Whale Hall with its amazing 38-foot whale skeleton hanging from the ceiling. There's a pier that leads to the MaST Aquarium which holds over 3,000 gallons of water in various tanks. You'll find two large touch tanks, two octopus tanks, various jellyfish lifestage tanks, a schooling fish tank and more. In all, the aquarium houses over 250 species of marine creatures, all native to the Puget Sound and surrounding waters. Too cool for school! Here's your Five-Course Dinner offering you an exploration of food and dining that is unparalleled: "BELLY OF THE WHALE" FIVE-COURSE DINNER "Too Cool for School" Friday, March 4, 6:00-8:30 p.m. Amuse-Bouche: Salmon Mousse on Toasted Brioche Ste.
