The Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden (RSBG) in partnership with the Federal Way Arts Commission, will play host to hundreds of people gathering for the 5th Annual Blue Poppy Day – Art in Bloom on Saturday, May 14th.
Celebrate and discover the amazing world of blue poppies (Meconopsis)! Enjoy the sight of a meadow containing hundreds of glowing, blooming blue poppies. New for 2016 – a brand new Blue Poppy Glade is being installed along our ADA accessibility path! Now there are two fields of poppies to enjoy and explore.
This is a wonderful celebration of art, both nature made and man-made, for the entire community. As visitors make their way through the Garden, they’ll be treated to the sights and sounds of musical and artistic performances. Visual artists will have their works on display. Northwest artist Pat Yager is the 2016 featured artist. Pat seeks to give the viewer a genuine sense of tranquility in her floral watercolor paintings. Her work is in collections in Britain, Costa Rica, the Middle East, Nicaragua, Canada, and the United States.
Two food trucks will be onsite for your dining experience.
