Remember the fallen astronauts of Space Shuttles Challenger and Columbia, and Apollo-1, while exploring the risks and successes of space travel.

Fifteen years ago, the Space Shuttle Columbia broke apart during re-entry and the crew was lost. Following this tragedy, lessons learned were incorporated into subsequent Shuttle missions and informed the design of NASA’s next generation spacecraft. This presentation remembers the fallen astronauts of Space Shuttles Challenger and Columbia, and Apollo-1, while exploring the risks and successes of space travel.

The Museum will feature displays about fallen astronauts that honor their achievements Jan. 26 - Feb. 4.

Presented byNASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador Ron Hobbs.
