Visitors staying at SeaTac hotels in the Southside area can make use of Seattle Southside’s free shuttle to and from Westfield Southcenter Mall.

Ride Seattle Southside’s Free Mall Shuttle to Westfield Southcenter Mall

Westfield Southcenter is the biggest mall in the Pacific Northwest with more than 200 stores, a variety of restaurants, e.g. the Rainforest Café*, Cheesecake Factory, Blue C Sushi and Ivar’s among others, and a movie theater.

Ride Seattle Southside’s Free Mall Shuttle to Westfield Southcenter MallI got to make use of the Mall Shuttle last week and was more than pleased to see how easy, effortless and time-saving it is compared to public transportation. The Mall Shuttle operates daily on a scheduled timetable and picks you up directly from your hotel. However, make sure to call ahead (206-571-9588) and reserve a spot (at least 15 minutes before scheduled departure), as seats can fill up quickly.

In case you are not staying in one of the hotels or are on a layover, just stop by the Seattle Southside Visitor Center and the shuttle can pick you up from there.

When I decided to take the shuttle to the mall, I called the reservation number and was picked up about half an hour later in front of the Visitor Center. The drive to the mall was less than 10 minutes and we were dropped off by the south entrance of Westfield Southcenter, right by Sears.

I followed the three large signs along the pathway to find more area information inside.

Ride Seattle Southside’s Free Mall Shuttle to Westfield Southcenter MallWhen entering the mall through this entrance, you will find the Seattle Southside Visitor Center booth on your left. Enthusiastic employees are more than happy to answer any questions about attractions and fun things to do in the Southside and in Seattle. They will provide you with a variety of brochures and coupons, refer you to great restaurants and answer questions about the mall itself. Make sure to stop by and say hi!

After I got my shopping done and enjoyed some Thai food in the food court, I made my way back to the Seattle Southside booth to inquire about scheduled Mall Shuttle pick up times and was lucky to not have to wait too long to be taken back.

The pick-up location is in the exact same spot where you were dropped off – make sure to arrive about 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time as the shuttle cannot wait for delayed guests. The drive back was as uncomplicated as the drive to the mall and I am sure that this will not be the last time I make use of this convenient service!
