January is the time of year where you want to cozy up and think about all of those new year's resolutions you made. While you are sitting fireside, nosh on some yummy homemade chili.

Here is a great homemade chili recipe from Salty's that goes great with a dollop of sour cream or if you want to keep it low fat then mashed avocado.

Recipe: Salty's Chef's Turkey Chili

Chef’s Turkey Chili

Ingredients:

2 (14.5 oz) cans stewed tomatoes
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (15 oz) can pinto beans

1 (15 oz) can garbanzo beans
1 large white onion, diced
2 (32 oz) box low sodium chicken broth
4 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1pound cooked turkey, diced
1 pinch salt, kosher

Directions:

1.      Place all ingredients, except the turkey, in your crock pot and set to high. Cook for 1 hour.

2.      Turn to medium and cook for an additional 3–4 hours.

3.      Stir in the cooked turkey and salt to taste.
