TASTY NORTHWEST BAND ADDS A DASH OF MUSICAL ZEST TO LUNCH
KENT, Wash. – June 6, 2005 – Award-winning band Toast provides a tasty smorgasbord of American roots music at Kent’s “Take-Out Tuesdays” on July 19 as part of the Summer Concert Series. The concert takes place at Kent-Kherson Peace Park, 2nd Ave and Gowe St, Kent, from noon to 1 p.m.
Based in the Pacific Northwest, Toast offers a refreshing, energizing approach to traditional American roots music, combining a variety of styles -- blues, rock, country, jazz, bluegrass and New Orleans influences -- into a unique, cohesive blend. Members of Toast have received numerous awards from the Washington Blues Society. The smooth vocal styling of lead guitarist Rod Cook combined with the creative approach of drummer Chris Leighton and solid groove of bass player Jon Bayless will surely please the lunchtime crowd.
“Take-Out Tuesdays,” like all of Kent Parks’ summer concerts, are free to the public.
