Kent, Wash. – The Kent Arts Commission is proud to present Spectrum Dance Theater as part of the 2004-2005 Spotlight Series. This Seattle-based company presents an evening of contemporary dance on Saturday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Kent-Meridian High School Performing Arts Center, 10020 SE 256th Street, Kent.

Under the artistic direction of acclaimed choreographer Donald Byrd, Spectrum Dance Theater is rising to the forefront of the American contemporary dance world. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer calls Byrd, who has created works for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Pacific Northwest Ballet and San Francisco Opera to name a few, “an American dance treasure.” Spectrum will perform pieces from their repertory in Kent.

Tickets for Spectrum Dance Theater are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors.
