KENT, Wash. – June 20, 2005 – Twenty year old singer-songwriter Vicci Martinez rocks Kent Parks’ “Thursdays at the Lake” on July 7 as part of the annual Summer Concert Series. This talented guitarist will be backed by her full band as she takes over Lake Meridian Park (14800 SE 272nd Street) from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Tacoma resident Vicci Martinez styles herself after female artists such as Bonnie Raitt and Melissa Etheridge and has developed a distinctive sound that defies her young age. Martinez’s early classical training lends unique substance and exceptional technique to her rock music. She consistently stuns audiences with her powerful lyrics and confident guitar playing. Martinez is garnering recognition with momentum as bold as her singing voice. She has appeared on the show “Star Search” twice and is currently booked at venues all over the Northwest.

“Thursdays at the Lake,” like all of Kent Parks’ summer concerts, are free to the public. Audience members are welcome to bring picnics and enjoy the performance, rain or shine.
