Seattle, Wash (June 12, 2012) Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) has named Ashley Comar, Marketing Communications Manager for Seattle Southside Visitor Services (, the official tourism department for the Cities of Des Moines, Kent, SeaTac and Tukwila, one of thirty emerging leaders of the destination marketing industry nationally. 

DMAI and founding program partner SearchWide are continuing their investment in tomorrow’s destination marketing leaders with this year’s 30 Under 30 program. In its second year, this program focuses on identifying and developing the talent of destination marketing professionals, aged 30 and under, through professional and career development, and increased peer-to-peer networking.

Kicking off at DMAI’s 98th Annual Convention held July 16-18, 2012 in Seattle, Washington, applicants selected for the program’s class of 2012-2013 will be awarded complimentary convention registration and 3 nights’ hotel accommodations. With a year-round program, awarded participants will engage in a variety of professional development and volunteer activities for sustained industry engagement after DMAI’s Annual Convention.

Winners will be recognized throughout the Annual Convention and formally at DMAI’s State of the Industry on Tuesday, July 17, 2012.
