Renton/Kent/Auburn, WA - Rainier Chorale is looking forward to its 22nd season of bringing music to friends and neighbors in the Renton/Kent/Auburn area. Approximately 70 Chorale members from all

around the South Sound come together to infuse magic into each

performance. . This year’s events promise to be even more exciting as

the Chorale collaborates with local musicians and unique venues to

bring even more diversity to the up-coming season.

Upcoming events

December 4th & 5th, 2004 ‘Tis the Season - This year the \Chorale

presents classical selections, a small French cantata, popular

holiday songs, and some lighter pieces, too. A brass quintet, adds a

dramatic addition to ring in the spirit of the yuletide celebration.

This promises to be an outstanding event, one that will put you in

the holiday spirit at just the right time of year. Bring the entire

family -- you won't want to miss it! This concert will be held at

Kent United Methodist Church, 11010 SE 248th Street in Kent.

April 2nd & 3rd, 2005 Choral Masterworks - This is the Chorale’s

eighth rendition of Choral Masterworks, a variety that includes

classics from the Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic and Modern eras.

Madrigals, motets, folk song settings and a Brahms drinking song are

all a part of this crowd-pleaser. Special guests performing with the

Chorale will be the Auburn Valley Columbia Choir, under the direction

of Leora Schwitters. This children’s group is fast gaining a fine

reputation for serious choral singing in the south Sound area. The

concert will be performed in the superbly fine acoustic hall of Kent

United Methodist Church 11010 SE 248th Street, Kent.

March 19th, 2005 Raise Your Hand for Rainier Chorale! - In addition

to making music, we are pleased to announce the Raise Your Hand for

Rainier Chorale! Annual Dinner & Fundraising Auction, to be held at

Emerald Downs. We expect dining, dancing, and great company!! If you

wish to donate something to the auction please contact the Rainier

Chorale at

June 18th & 19th, 2005 At the Drive-in Movies - Remember those lazy,

hazy, crazy days of the drive-in movies: home-made popcorn, kids

tucked in blankets in the back-seat, speaker hanging on the car

window, while we enjoyed great musicals, classic pictures, westerns,

and sci-fi? Maybe the Chorale can improve on that speaker and bring

back memories of the drive-in at their June concert –you’ll be

jigging, tapping your toes, and singing along before the night is

through. Bring the whole family to Renton’s CARCO Theater, 1717 Maple

Valley Highway, for great family fun.

Tickets/Information – Tickets are available for individual

performances with special discount considerations for seniors and
