Puyallup, WA - March 23, 2005 - In honor of our brave men and women in uniform, the Puyallup Fair is pleased to announce the return of Military Appreciation Day, this year on Sunday, April 17. The Puyallup Spring Fair runs April 14-17.

Free gate admission will be given to all active, reserve, and retired military and their dependents with a valid military ID, at any Fair gate (Blue, Gold, or Red).

For several years, the Fair has tamed up with our neighboring military communities to provide a day to reflect upon the hard work our service men and women do each day to keep our country safe, and their strong devotion to patriotism and freedom.

Seattle-based radio station 770 KTTH is the radio station sponsor for the event.

The 2005 Puyallup Spring Fair will feature a garden show, daily visits with SpongeBob SquarePants, the Northwest Junior Livestock Show and Sale, exhibits, food, rides and much more. The 16th annual event coincides with Daffodil Festival activities.

The Puyallup Fir will be held Sept. 9-25, so mark your calendar. Visit the Fair website at www.thefair.com or call the 24-hour hotline for additional information on the Puyallup Spring Fair and Puyallup Fair, (253) 841-5045.
