Holiday Breakfasts: Dec. 11, 12, 18, 19 – Bundle up the family and enjoy a home-style breakfast, as you relax next to the crackling fire in Trek’s Fir Bough Café. After your fingers and toes are toasty and warm, share your wish list with Santa while you join him for a holiday family photograph and a one-hour tram ride. 8:30 – 11 a.m. Adults $20; children 12 and under $13; Trek members: Adults, $15; children 12 and under $10. Kids ‘n Critters Naturefest: Jan. 15-17 Invite friends and family for a day of discovery and adventure. Experience fun animal-themed activities including crafts, games, stories, animal presentations, a scavenger hunt, and much more. The animals have on their finest coats, so put on yours and enjoy this winter celebration. Up to four kids FREE with a paying adult. Animal Care Camp: Jan. 22 & March 19 – Ever wonder what it takes to care for Trek’s animals? Don’t miss this opportunity to shadow an animal keeper, get your hands dirty, work hard and devote half your day to caring for the animals. Morning snack and recyclable camera included. 8 a.m.-noon. Ages 12-18 are welcome. Ages 12-14 must be accompanied by a paying adult 21 or older.
Sweet Treats Dinner: Feb. 12 – Did you know people once believed a young woman would know the kind of man she’d marry by watching certain birds flying overhead on Valentine’s Day? Bring your sweetheart to Northwest Trek for a romantic candlelight dinner in the cozy Fir Bough Café. Take a twilight tram tour of the free-roaming area and learn about the WILD love lives of some of Trek’s most expressive animals. Trek’s winter hours: Dec. – Feb. 17, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and selected holidays. Trek will be open for winter break Dec. 26- January 2 and closed on Christmas day. Feb. – March 30 Trek will be open seven-days a week.
