KENT, Wash. – June 30, 2005 – Children’s singer/songwriter, poet and entertainer Eric Ode performs at Kent’s “Thursday Playground Performances” on July 14 as part of the Summer Concert Series. Ode sings the tunes children love with humor that will keep parents smiling. The concert takes place at West Fenwick Park, 3824 Reith Road, from noon to 1 p.m.

Eric Ode (pronounced Oh-dee) is an award winning children’s singer, songwriter, poet and elementary educator. Ode's message focuses on joy of life and respect for others. He engages his audience with hand motions, games, costumes, props and short music skits that will keep kids entertained and learning. Ode regularly shares his music and poetry programs with schools, community festivals, libraries and churches throughout the Northwest and beyond. Ode is well known for his Parents Choice Award winning recordings, “Grampa’s Truck” and “Trash Can.”
