Tukwila, WA – Westfield Shoppingtown Southcenter (formerly Southcenter Mall) will host a special event that benefits local charities and shoppers alike. The event is open to nearly any non-profit organization that wishes to take part, and participation is free of charge.

What is it? Westfield Works Wonders is a special after-hours event featuring discounted shopping, door prizes, live entertainment, free refreshments, free holiday photos, free gift wrapping, celebrity appearances, and more!

When is it? On Sunday, November 10, 2002, from 6:00 - 9:00pm at Westfield Shoppingtown Southcenter (formerly Southcenter Mall).

How do charities benefit?

Charity organizations pre-sell the $5 admission tickets and keep 100% of the proceeds. Southcenter will even donate additional prizes totaling $1,000 to the top three ticket-selling organizations.

How can a charity get involved?

Interested parties are invited to stop by the mall’s management office to get an information packet, fill out the sign up, and pick up the tickets - it’s that easy! Organizations are asked to provide their Tax Identification Number to verify non-profit status. The office is located on the south side of the building (exterior entrance) near Lenscrafters. Business hours are Mon - Fri 8:30am - 5:30pm.

EDITOR’S NOTES: Westfield Works Wonders has been held by Westfield Shoppingtowns across the nation for the past four years. Last year, over $1.5 Million was raised at 38 shoppingtowns. Westfield Shoppingtown Capital in Olympia, WA raised nearly $18,000 alone!

A 501c(3) tax-exempt status is the preferred designation for non-profit organizations wishing to participate in Westfield Works Wonders. Non-profit organizations with a designation other than 501c(3) will be considered for permission to participate on a case-by-case basis.
