Crystal Mountain Opens July 1st for Summer Operations

Crystal Mountain, WA- After much anticipation, Crystal Mountain will open for Sunset Dinners and Scenic Chairlift Rides. The Chinook Express and Rainier Express lifts will run Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day Monday from July 1-September 4, 2006. The lifts will run from 10am-4pm, with the last ride up at 3pm.

Once at the 6,872’ summit guests will enjoy views of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Saint Helens, Mt. Adams, Mt. Hood and Mt. Baker. The view from the summit is unlike any other. There is a abundance of hiking and biking trails, wild flowers, wildlife and a wealth of scenery for guests to enjoy. There is no chairlift access for mountain bikes but they are allowed on the trails. Trail and wildflower guides are available at the Right Angle Sports Shop.

A BBQ lunch will be available from 10:30am-3:30pm at the Summit House for those enjoying the scenic chairlift rides. All day traffic must begin downloading back to the base by 4pm. Scenic chairlift ride tickets are $20 for Adults (11-64), $10 for Children (10 & under) and $18 for Seniors (65+). The lift rates include one roundtrip ride.

There will be two nightly seating for Sunset Dinners. At the Summit House, Washington’s Highest Restaurant, guests will enjoy fine dining in a casual environment as the sun sets over Mount Rainier. The cost is $59 per person and includes a choice of soup or salad, entrée, select n/a beverages, tax, tip and chairlift ride to and from dinner. The Right Angle Sports Shop, located at the base area, will be open weekends from 9:30am-8pm. This is the location of retail & ticket sales, reservation check-in and general information.
