CARMONA FLAMENCO BRINGS FIERY MUSIC AND DANCE TO KENT’S SPOTLIGHT SERIES

KENT, Wash. – March 30, 2006 – Kent’s Spotlight Series hosts one of the Pacific Northwest’s premiere performance groups, internationally renowned Carmona Flamenco on Saturday, April 8. The group brings the precision and passion of flamenco to Kent-Meridian High School Performing Arts Center (10020 SE 256th St., Kent). The performance begins at 7:30 p.m.

Carmona Flamenco specializes in contemporary and traditional Spanish Gypsy performance: colorful dances, soulful songs and riveting instrumentals. For more than 20 years, the award-winning, Seattle-based group has performed through Spain and the United States. Carmona Flamenco is comprised of Artistic Director and guitarist Marcos Carmona, singer and principal dancer Rubina Carmona and their son, David Carmona, a percussionist. The Carmonas frequently perform with guest artists and will be joined in Kent by acclaimed dancer Ana Montes.
