KENT, Wash. – April 12, 2006 – Be a part of the City of Kent’s biggest summer festival! Applications are available for crafters for Cornucopia Days, scheduled for July 14-16, 2006. Until 2006 Cornucopia Days has solely been produced by the Kent Lions Club, but this year, Kent Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department will be managing the main stage entertainment, a children’s area, and a fine crafts market area. The festival takes place in and around downtown Kent, with the Fine Crafts Market located in an outside venue at Kent Station, Kent’s new retail and entertainment destination.

All items in the Cornucopia Days Fine Crafts Market at Kent Station must be handcrafted and designed by the artist, not from kits or component parts or purchased for resale, or a process of mass production. No imports or commercial items; if you are a commercial or import vendor, please visit the Kent Lions Club website at for more information and an application.

The work of all prospective vendors must be screened. A selection committee will review all applications. Applicants will be judged on written materials received and criteria will include handcrafted, high quality, original artworks and crafts, and available space. If selected, booths are 10’ wide by 10’ deep with a fee of $125.00. No electricity is available. Cornucopia Days runs from 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 14 and 15, and from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16.
