We’re beyond excited that our region and state are fully re-opened! Travelers, locals, sports groups, meeting attendees and all other visitors are all welcome and our local businesses are now officially permitted to operate at full capacity.

Hotels, attractions, bars, restaurants, movie theaters and other businesses are once again resuming business-as-usual, however the hospitality industry is experiencing staffing shortages so please be mindful and kind with our businesses.

Mask and Vaccination Guidelines

Please note: Businesses have the right to enforce these rules and regulations as they see fit for the health and safety of their customers and staff. We kindly ask visitors to determine, respect, and adhere to the individual guidelines of each business you choose to visit.

As of March 12, King County will no longer enforce Washington & King County’s masking order in all indoor spaces that are open to the public, including gyms, exercise facilities, auditoriums, stadiums, retail, grocery stores, government buildings, and other businesses and places where members of the public can enter freely, as well as any outdoor event with 500 or more people in attendance.

As of March 1, King County will no longer require proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter restaurants; bars; indoor recreational events & establishments such as live music and performing arts.

Travel Updates

COVID-19 travel protocols continue to evolve. These are some of the newest COVID-19 testing requirements to be aware of as you plan your trip.

Domestic

Washingtonians and others who may be visiting Washington from outside the state are expected to comply with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) current COVID-19 travel advisory guidance. This guidance recommends that individuals delay travel until they are fully vaccinated, at which point they can travel safely within the United States.

If not vaccinated, travelers are expected to follow CDC’s recommendations for unvaccinated people, which includes testing before and after travel, wearing a mask, continuing to socially distance and maintain good hand hygiene.

International

While U.S. Travel restrictions across international borders have eased for vaccinated travelers, please note the following global travel restrictions are still in effect for international visitors to the United States:

  • You must be fully vaccinated to travel to the United States by plane if you are a non-U.S. citizen, non-U.S. immigrant (not a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or traveling to the United States on an immigrant visa). Only limited exceptions apply.
  • You are required to show a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 when you travel to the United States by air.
  • Wearing a mask over your nose and mouth is required in indoor areas of public transportation (including airplanes) traveling into, within, or out of the United States and indoors in U.S. transportation hubs (including airports).

Seattle to Alaska Cruises To Begin in April

The Port of Seattle unveiled its preliminary cruise schedule for 2023, with more than 300 scheduled sailings bringing an estimated 1.3 million revenue passengers through its two cruise ship terminals. Cruise lines are adding additional ships to the Alaska market this season. It is anticipated that the number of passengers per ship will vary by sailing and will increase as the season progresses. The seven major brands homeporting in Seattle will be sailing 15 vessels, up from 11 most seasons.
