"Where is Seattle Southside?"
Seattle Southside refers to the four cities near the Sea-Tac International Airport: SeaTac, Tukwila, and Des Moines, Washington. Seattle Southside is approximately 15-20 minutes south of downtown Seattle. Most hotels in Seattle Southside offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport, have free parking and accommodations cost 20-30% less than those in downtown Seattle.

"How do I make a hotel reservation in Seattle Southside?"
Seattle Southside offers over 60 value-priced, family-friendly hotels to choose from. You're sure to find the perfect amenities to fit your needs for business or pleasure. There are over 30 hotels near Sea-Tac International Airport and 20 hotels near Westfield Southcenter. "How do we get to Seattle from Seattle Southside?"
Getting to Seattle from Seattle Southside is never a problem. You have many transportation options to choose from:

Link Light Rail - There are two light rail stations in Seattle Southside. The first is at the airport so you can go straight from the plane to downtown Seattle in about 30 minutes and not have to worry about renting a car. The second stop is a few miles away in Tukwila and it features a Park & Ride. So if you do have a car you can leave it in the free parking lot hassle free. Tickets range from $2.00-$2.75/person one way. Click here for  timetables and  fare information.

Seattle Southside Express - This is by far the easiest and most convenient way to get to Seattle. The Seattle Southside Express Shuttle will pick you up from your SeaTac or Tukwila hotel and drop you off in the heart of downtown Seattle 1 block from the waterfront, 2 blocks to Pike Place Market, 6 blocks to Pioneer Square and 4 blocks to Westlake Center where you can take the Monorail to the Space Needle and City Center. Your ride to Seattle is $12/person round trip, or $7/person one-way. Reservations are required. Please call (206) 571-9588 to reserve your seat.

 Metro Bus - The Metro Bus is the local public bus system that operates in all of King County. From Tukwila, catch Route 150 at the Westfield Southcenter. From Sea-Tac International Airport, catch Route 156 to Westfield Southcenter and hop on Route 150. Route 150 is an "express" bus that will take you straight to downtown Seattle. Auto - If you are driving your own car, take Interstate 5 North. Take the Seneca St. Exit# 165 (exit on the left side of the freeway) to get to downtown Seattle. To get to the Space Needle, take the Mercer St. Exit# 167 (exit on the left side of the freeway). Only metered and garage parking are available downtown. (Street parking is free after 6:00 pm and on Sunday all day.)

"How much does it cost to get to ...?"

"I'm taking a cruise. Where can I get a ride to/from the cruise terminal?"
Seattle Express can take you to/from your hotel and the cruise terminal. The ride is only $12/person. For inquiries and reservations, call (206) 793-8430. (Note: Most hotels provide a free shuttle from Sea-Tac Airport to their hotels. From there, take Seattle Express to your cruise terminal.)

Gray Line and Shuttle Express also offer transportation to the cruise terminals. For inquiries and reservations call Gray Line at (206) 626-5200/1-800-426-7532 and Shuttle Express at (425) 981-7000.

“How far is it to…?”
Mt. Rainier – 90 miles and approximately 2 hours.
Seattle – 13 miles and approximately 15 minutes.
Mt. St. Helens – 157 miles and approximately 3 1/2 hours.
Vancouver BC – 154 miles and approximately 2 1/2 hours.
Tacoma – 21 miles and approximately 1/2 hour.
 Snoqualmie Falls – 35 miles and approximately 45 minutes.
Olympic National Forest – 126 miles and approximately 2 1/2 hours.
Ocean Shores – 120 miles and approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes.
San Juan Islands – 95 miles and approximately 2 hours to Ferry terminal in Anacortes. Approximately 1 to 2 hour Ferry ride. Click here for Ferry schedule and information.

"What will the weather be like?"
The best way to prepare for a visit is to bring layers. The Seattle area is known for rain although we receive less rain on average than Miami. We have a milder less humid climate. October through April are the rainy months however there has been snow in the past so be prepared. May through September are the warmer months with the average temperature in the 70 degree range.
