LODGING SPECIAL NOTICE
Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority Tourism Promotion Area
Lodging Charge Rate Change
 
Effective April 1, 2015, there will be an increase in the rate of special assessments (lodging charges) within the boundaries established as the Seattle Southside Tourism Promotion Area (TPA). The charge will be assessed at a rate of two dollars ($2.00) per unit per night of stay in establishments with 90 or more rooms. The ordinances that created both the TPA and the Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority were passed by SeaTac City Council in October, 2014 after entering into a joint agreement with the cities of Des Moines and Tukwila.
 
The Seattle Southside Tourism Promotion Area encompasses the Cities of SeaTac (1733), Tukwila (1729), and Des Moines (1709).
