What is Seattle Southside?

Seattle Southside is the perfect blend of natural wonders and urban attractions. It lies 15 minutes South of downtown Seattle and is just a short jaunt from all of Washington's favorite treasures including Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens to the south, the waterfront and Olympica Peninsula to the west, the San Juan Islands to the north, and the Cascade mountain range and wine country to the east. Seattle Southside Visitor Services is the official tourism department for the cities of Tukwila, SeaTac, Kent and Des Moines, Wash. These cities make up the community surrounding the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and often serves as a travelers first point of contact to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Seattle Southside Visitor Services is responsible for marketing Seattle Southside as a premier vacation destination to travelers around the country and around the world. In addition to travelers, Seattle Southside is also an ideal destination for meetings, reunions, sports tournaments, corporate retreats and events. With a Visitor Center located in Tukwila, Wash. and a staff to handle all visitor requests, request for proposals, marketing programs and media inquiries, Seattle Southside Visitor Services is an all inclusive Destination Marketing Organization.
