City leaders know tourism is big business and good for the local economy. In February 2002, the cities of SeaTac and Tukwila signed a partnership agreement to jointly market the area as Seattle Southside. “Our three cities individually have a lot to offer visitors, but together, we have an increased ability to attract tourists," said Tukwila Mayor Steve Mullet. “And we believe the best way to do that is through a coordinated, cooperative effort with our business community.” To attract and assist tourists with their travel plans, the Cities of Tukwila, SeaTac and Kent created this award-winning visitor information program in partnership with the local business community.   We are happy to have the City of Des Moines join us in January 2006 as our fourth destination city.
