Hello Meilee,

Thank you once again for accepting our invitation to speak at our 61st Convention and Delegate Assembly.  The members greatly appreciated the information you brought to them and many have expressed a renewed excitement about getting “out and about” this summer and touring the area.  I will be taking a vacation in July and after reviewing the materials the ladies brought back to me, I can understand their enthusiasm.  There are so many wonderful things to do and see I fear I won’t be able to fit them all into my scheduled time off!  To think all of this is practically in our back yard and I have been unaware of much of it.

Thank you again Meilee.  You helped to make this one of our most successful Conventions to date!

My name is K. Silvia and my husband and I flew into Seattle on April 24....we had rented a car and saw the tourist info sign on I -5..we stopped by and were treated like old friends...I am sorry that I do not remember the names of the 2 ladies that were so kind to us...the first lady wore glasses and was at the desk when we entered...she was very nice, told us about "Anthony's" and even called for us to see if they had crab that day for my husband.  The other lady came in later, said she had been to Gig Harbor that day, I believe.  I just wanted to let you how these ladies made our trip so much easier and when we left we had maps, leaflets and anything else we needed..We were going to Mt Ranier the next day and they even gave us names of motels up there....we are from Pensacola, Fl, and definitely will remember our trip...Again kudos for your great employees and their help..

Meilee,

Actually, thank YOU for all your hard work putting the meeting together. It was wonderful meeting everyone and hearing the excitement in their responses.  We collected a lot of business cards and will be adding everyone to our press list to keep them in the loop on happenings around the center.  We will also make a plan to include our retailers and inform them of the tie-in opportunities.

Thank you again for your help in introducing us!  This will be a fantastic journey.

Hi Meilee,

Greetings from the Marriott TownePlace Suites/Seattle Southcenter and thank you for organizing yesterdays meeting with the Westfield Center marketing team!  Even though it was informal, I found it to be incredibly beneficial in getting the ball rolling on our relationship as a market with this great company.  My sales gal, Sarah Bruce, is pro-actively working this account to secure hotel business and I will continue to keep you in the loop if we hear anything new.

Thank you again Meilee and have a fabulous rest of the week!

Warm Regards,

Elisa Anglin

Hi Meilee-

I heard back from this group this morning, and they are coming after all!  When I hear from them about how many rooms they’ll need I’ll check with your hotels.  Thanks so much for your help – and for having so many nice places in Tukwila.

Hello Karla,

I received your lovely package. Wow, it has a lot of goodies inside including all the brochures, maps, mall directories, coupon sheets, as well as the luggage tags, and the two Restaurants coupons. This is very thoughtful of yourself  - I truly appreciate your kindness!!  You are genuinely a great ambassador of your Country!!

In fact, some of my clients (most of them are travel with their kids) are coming out from the Eastern Canada and those tags and Restaurants coupons would come in very handy for them. I am going to enclose these goodies in our portfolio and send it to them prior to their departure.

Thank you so much for all your wonderful help and most generous offer to my clients!! To return this favor, I will do my very best to help promoting your beautiful area to my clients.

Kindest regards,

Tina

Dear Katherine,

Thank you for your engaging presentation to the South King County Cultural Coalition, Oct. 27. It was inspiring to hear from an organization that is successfully marketing the Southside and all it has to offer. I hope the Coalition can partner with Seattle Southside to highlight South King County's rich cultural offerings.

Best,
Lori Patrick

Dear Mayor Mullet,

My family and I stayed at the Homewood Suites located in Tukwila both at the beginning of our vacation and on our last day before returning home to Oklahoma. We enjoyed the area very much!!

That last day was July 4. We had driven back to Tukwila from Canmore, Canada that day with the initial idea being to get back to the U.S. and see the fireworks on the waterfront in Seattle. When we were checking in at the Homewood Suites office, they mentioned that there would be a fireworks display in Fort Dent Park, a short walk away, later that evening. We decided that, after a long day of driving, we would rather stay and walk over to Fort Dent Park and not deal with the traffic at night in an unfamiliar city.

I wanted to let you know that we thought the fireworks display was spectacular! We were not disappointed by our decision to stay in Tukwila instead of braving the crowds. We also enjoyed the band that was performing immediately prior to the fireworks display. (Soulfish?)

Thank you for providing a great ending to a great vacation.

Sincerely,

Lyla Phelps

Dear Katherine,

I would like to take a moment to thank you for the work you have done to help further the customer experience while visiting Tukwila. The front desk staff at the Embassy Suites is happy to have yet another customer service tool provided to them to enhance our guests stay, the Seattle Southside Express shuttle service.

To have this shuttle service available to our hotel guests who want to go shopping allows our own shuttle to be readily available to transport passengers to and from the airport. Not only does the shuttle increase our guests experience while at our hotel, it provides us with an excellent sales tool to use for potential conventions coming to the area.Having a direct link to area retail and restaurants has helped make Embassy Suites the desired location to host a conference.

Thank you again for your hard work and for all the helpful tools you provide the hotels in the area.

Sincerely,

Donna Rios
General Manager
Embassy Suites Hotel, Tukwila

Dear Katherine,

Many belated thanks for meeting with me in November regarding Tukwila's Tourism program - most impressive! I appreciate your taking the time to share with me some of Tukwila's goals and objectives. I congratulate you on what you've done to date! Lynnwood and Tukwila share some similarities with having plenty of shopping - and many differences as well.

Many thanks again,

Trina Torgelson
