Rachael Ray Show Needs Our Help
The Rachael Ray show from New York City is
scouring
the country for unique snacks and food items to be
used for the show give-aways. They have
specifically asked for Washington related ideas,
snacks and items that would be donated to the show
to be used to give away to their on air audience in
conjunction with the taping of the Rachael Ray Show
that will begin airing soon. If your company or
business has non perishable food or snack items that
it would like to donate to the Rachael Ray show that
represents the food styles of Washington or the
region, please contact us at the Visitor Center!
Ideas might include smoked salmon packages, coffee
items, etc.

Sea-Tac Airport Update
New Information Desks at Sea-Tac Airport Help
Travelers with Ground Transportation, Way Finding
Two new information kiosks – one in Baggage
Claim and one behind security in the Central
Terminal – are busy answering questions and
assisting airport travelers.
The fully staffed Airport Information Booth,
on the Baggage Claim level of the Main Terminal
across from Carousel 12, (http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=zg6l4wbab.0.0.7n4hpun6.0&ts=S0196&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.portseattle.org%2Fabout%2Fmaps%2Fbaggageclaim.shtml) is open seven days a
week from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. Staff assists travelers
and airport visitors with ground transportation
information, general airport information,
and suggestions about how to spend extra time in
the airport prior to check-in or between flights.
The new information desk in Central Terminal (http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=zg6l4wbab.0.0.7n4hpun6.0&ts=S0196&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.portseattle.org%2Fabout%2Fmaps%2Fcte.shtml) serves passengers during
peak travel times. It is staffed by Airport Volunteers
from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.

questions about shopping, dining, and gate locations
and where to find the new children's play area.

Interesting Industry Trends!
DID YOU KNOW?
Attending a sporting event ranks 10th
among things to do on a trip and two-fifths of US
adults are considered to be "sports event travelers"
(attending a sporting event more than 50 miles away
from home). Fifty-two percent of sports event
travelers stay overnight in a hotel while on their trip
and spend at least $235 on their trip.
The above excerpt is from Travel
Industry Association of America.
